What is the Magic City Gun Club?

The Magic City Gun Club (MCGC) is a private, family-oriented gun club established to promote the shooting sports and provide a safe place for enthusiasts to shoot. We offer a welcoming environment where families and friends can share in the shooting sports responsibly.

MCGC is proudly affiliated with the NRA, CMP, 4-H, and the American Legion.


What does the MCGC offer?

MCGC hosts a variety of organized shooting matches throughout the year, with most months offering multiple opportunities to compete or participate. Match disciplines include:

  • .22 Rifle Silhouette
  • .22 & Centerfire Pistol (paper targets)
  • High Power Rifle
  • Shotgun
  • Smallbore / 3-Position

All ranges feature covered shooting areas except the shotgun range. Our facilities include:

  • 100-yard rifle range with concrete benchrest benches and open areas for 3-position shooting
  • 100-meter silhouette range with berms at 40, 50, 60, 75, and 100 meters
  • 50-yard utility range
  • 50-yard pistol range with paper target frames at 25 and 50 yards
  • Two trap fields

Is MCGC currently accepting memberships? How do I join?

Yes, MCGC is currently accepting new memberships.

Membership Requirements & Fees:

  • Annual Membership Fee: $100 per calendar year
  • One-Time Initiation Fee: $150
  • Safety Meeting: Attendance at a one-time safety meeting is required
  • Match Participation: New members must shoot four (4) club matches during their first year

As a member, you may access the range during daylight hours for practice and recreational shooting, except when a scheduled match or club event is in progress.

How to Apply:

To receive an application for membership, you must attend and shoot a club match as a visitor. After the match, you may request an application from the match director.
This is the only way to receive an application.
