Whether you are an experienced competitor, a recreational shooter curious about competition, or someone who simply wants to see what a match is all about, we invite you to come spend a match day with us at Magic City Gun Club.
MCGC hosts a variety of shooting disciplines throughout the year, with opportunities for different ages, experience levels, firearms, and styles of competition. Many of our matches are beginner-friendly, and visitors are welcome to participate in scheduled club matches.

Before You Come
The following policies apply to MCGC matches unless the individual match information states otherwise:
- Gates generally open at 7:30 AM for morning matches.
- Please arrive early enough to register, pay applicable match fees, prepare your equipment, and be ready for the safety briefing.
- A mandatory safety briefing is normally held 15 minutes before the scheduled match start and must be attended in order to compete.
- Match fees vary by discipline and event.
- No live firing is permitted before 9:00 AM.
- Match-specific requirements, equipment rules, age requirements, and schedules are listed on each discipline page.

High Power Rifle
Centerfire rifle competition using magazine- or clip-fed rifles, with optics, red dots, and iron sights welcome within match rules.
Muzzleloading Rifle
Traditional muzzleloading rifle competition held during the spring, summer, and fall.
Pistol
From a relaxed Fun Pistol Match designed to welcome newer shooters to sanctioned CMP Precision Pistol/Bullseye competition and championship events.
Safari & Rimfire
Fun and approachable .22 rifle matches including Safari, Fun .22, and our Tuesday morning senior rimfire program.
