Location: Rifle Range
Match Director: Blake Wingard

📅 Monthly Matches: March – September

🏆 State Championships: October

MCGC hosts monthly Smallbore Rifle matches offering both Prone and 3-Position disciplines. Monthly matches are held on the fourth Saturday of each month from March through September, with Prone beginning at 9:00 AM and 3-Position beginning at 2:00 PM the same day. The season concludes in October with separate CMP State Championship matches for 3-Position and Smallbore Prone, held on different Saturdays. Matches are open to the public for eligible competitors and provide a consistent, structured environment for skill development and competition.

Check Match Status Before You Come

Smallbore matches are held outdoors and may occasionally be affected by inclement weather, including rain or excessive heat.

Before leaving for the range, please check our Smallbore Match Status page for the latest match-day information. If a match must be canceled or changed because of weather or range conditions, updates will be posted there as soon as a decision is made.

Rather than relying solely on last-minute calls, texts, or emails, competitors are encouraged to make the Match Status page their first stop on match morning.

Preregister for Monthly Smallbore Matches

Preregistration is strongly encouraged for our monthly Smallbore matches.

Registering ahead helps the Match Director prepare for the expected number of competitors, organize relays and range assignments, and make match morning run more smoothly for everyone.

Preregistration does not need to make attending complicated—we simply appreciate knowing you plan to come.
