What is the Magic City Gun Club?
The Magic City Gun Club (MCGC) is a private gun club established to promote the shooting sports and give fellow enthusiasts a safe place to shoot. We are a family-oriented club offering a safe space for families and friends to share the shooting sports. We are NRA, CMP, 4-H, and American Legion affiliated.
What does the MCGC offer?
We offer several different types of organized shooting matches most every month; including 22 Rifle Silhouette, 22 & Centerfire Pistol (on paper), High Power, Shotgun and Smallbore/3P.
All ranges have a covered shooting area except the shotgun range. We have the following:
- 100-yard rifle range with several concrete benchrest style benches and plenty of open areas to shoot 3-position.
- 100-meter Silhouette range with berms at 40, 50, 60, 75 and 100 meters.
- 50-yard utility range.
- 50-yard pistol range with paper target frames at 25 and 50 yards.
- 2 trap fields.
Is MCGC currently accepting memberships? If so, how do I join?
Yes, we are currently accepting new memberships. Membership fees are $100 per calendar year with a one-time $150 Initiation Fee. You must attend a one-time safety meeting, and you must shoot four club matches the first year.
As a member, you have access to the range during daylight hours to shoot and practice whenever you would like unless a scheduled match or event is in process.
To receive an application, you must come and shoot a club match as a visitor and after the match, you can request an application from the match director.
